South Pars Gas Field Development Project – Phases 22, 23, 24 & 13

The South Pars Gas Field is one of the world’s largest natural gas reserves, located in the Persian Gulf, southern Iran. The South Pars Gas Field Development Project for Phases 13, 22, 23, and 24 has been commissioned by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), with the goal of increasing Iran’s domestic gas production and supporting national energy demands.

The PSA consortium was selected as the main contractor for the full EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) scope. This major energy project covers offshore facilities and platforms, undersea pipeline networks, and extensive onshore infrastructure for advanced gas processing and stabilization of reservoir fluids.

Key Project Participants

  • PSA: Lead EPCC contractor, responsible for executing all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Sazeh-Nargan Consultants: In charge of basic engineering and FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) for onshore facilities.
  • Offshore Consultant: Managing the offshore development and engineering works.
  • Tehran Raymand Consulting Engineers: Contracted by Sazeh Consultants for FEED and detailed engineering design of specific onshore facility units.

Project Capacity and Output

  • Total Processing Capacity: 2,000 MMSCFD (million standard cubic feet per day) of reservoir fluids from the South Pars gas field to be handled at the onshore processing facilities for Phases 22, 23, and 24.
  • Final Output: The project delivers high-quality sales gas and stabilized gas condensate, supporting Iran’s natural gas exports and local energy needs.

Tehran Raymand’s Engineering Scope
