Oil field development and production is the process of collecting crude oil from wellheads, transporting it through gathering systems, and treating it using surface facilities to meet operational and market requirements. It includes designing and operating separation units, pipelines, storage systems, and support utilities. The goal is to ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous flow of oil from the wellhead to downstream facilities or export points.
Gas field development and production is the process of collecting natural gas from wellheads, transferring it through gathering systems, and processing it in surface facilities to remove impurities such as water, condensate, H₂S, and CO₂. The treated gas is then sent to gas refineries, where it is further processed and converted into marketable products such as pipeline-quality gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), natural gas liquids (NGLs), and feedstock for petrochemical industries.
