Administration & Control Area

The 4th Aromatics Plant is a flagship petrochemical project located in the Assaluyeh industrial zone, forming a critical part of the Borzouyeh Petrochemical Complex. Designed and engineered by Sazeh Consultants, the plant is a vital link in Iran’s petrochemical value chain, aiming to enhance production capacity and meet the increasing domestic and international demand for aromatics.
The 4th Aromatics Plant consists of a wide array of process and utility units, including the Pyrolysis Gasoline Hydrogenation and Gas Condensate Prefractionation Units, which serve as the foundation for feedstock preparation. It is complemented by advanced Hydro-treating, Catalytic Reforming, and Catalytic Regeneration processes that maximize the production of high-purity reformate.
A key component of the 4th Aromatics Plant is the Reformate & Aromatics Separation Process, supported by state-of-the-art BT (Benzene-Toluene) Extraction, Disproportionation, and Transalkylation units. These units are instrumental in converting intermediate products into valuable petrochemical derivatives. Additionally, the Para Xylene Separation and Isomerization processes ensure the production of para-xylene, a critical raw material for polyester manufacturing.
All necessary ancillary facilities, such as the Fuel Gas System, Effluent Treatment Unit, and Flare System, are fully integrated into the plant infrastructure to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations. These units are designed in accordance with the latest international environmental regulations and industrial safety standards, thereby minimizing emissions, ensuring waste management, and providing reliable emergency response mechanisms. The Tankage Area offers ample and strategically allocated capacity for both feedstock and finished product storage, equipped with modern instrumentation for level control and leakage prevention. Meanwhile, the Administration & Control Area functions as the central nervous system of the plant, housing advanced SCADA and DCS systems that enable real-time data acquisition, process visualization, and operational decision-making, thereby ensuring optimal performance, security, and continuous monitoring of all critical plant activities
Strategically located in Assaluyeh, the 4th Aromatics Plant benefits from proximity to upstream gas processing facilities and export terminals. As part of the Borzouyeh Petrochemical group, it leverages existing infrastructure and logistics networks to optimize supply chain efficiency.
This large-scale project reflects the expertise of Sazeh Engineering Consultants in executing complex petrochemical developments. With cutting-edge technology and robust project management, the plant is poised to become a benchmark for future aromatics production units in the region
