Khorasan Petrochemical Company (KHPC), over a period of time, has perceived the growing demand for a special application fertilizer called Sulfur Coated Urea (SCU). This SCU fertilizer has been acknowledged having a feature of controlling release of nutrients in comparison with other forms of urea fertilizer, and is specially preferred for paddy field application.
The plant is slated to manufacture 90,000 MTPA of SCU fertilizer. The final product is in bagged form. Raw materials include Urea (in both prill and granular forms), Sulfur (in powder form) and Wax (in solid form).
