Kharg Island Gas Gathering and NGL Recovery Project (Interconnecting)

IRITEC / IRASCO have been contracted by the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (I.O.O.C) to execute the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) for the Kharg Island Gas Gathering and NGL Recovery Project. This onshore project involves the construction of pipeline and reception facilities, onshore compression, NGL trains, NGL storage, and export facilities.

Project Scope

The NGL recovery facility is a new development, which includes the simultaneous construction of two separate gas treatment and NGL recovery plants that share common utilities and liquid export systems. Gas will be collected from both onshore and offshore sources.

Contracted Engineering Services:

• John Brown Hydrocarbons: Basic Engineering and FEED for the onshore facilities.
• Tehran Raymand Consulting Engineers: Detailed design of the common system and interconnecting services.

Detailed Design Scope by Tehran Raymand

Tehran Raymand Consulting Engineers has been engaged by IRITEC to perform the detailed design of the common system and interconnecting services of the project. This includes:

• Project Management
• Interface Coordination
• Detailed Engineering
• Procurement Engineering Services for the interconnecting areas and common facilities.

Process Units and Facilities

1. Reception Facilities

• Initial reception of gas from onshore and offshore sources.

2. Compression Stations (1 & 2)

• Compression of gas for further processing.

3. Acid Gas Removal Units (1 & 2)

• Includes Mercury Removal and Dehydration to purify the gas.

4. NGL Recovery Units (1 & 2)

• Separation and recovery of natural gas liquids (NGL).

5. Utility Systems

• Supporting infrastructure including power, water, and other utilities.

6. Storage Tanks

• Storage of processed NGL and other by-products.

7. Acid Gas Injection

• Safe disposal of acid gases through injection.

8. Seawater System

• Utilization of seawater for cooling and other processes.
