Kupal Gas Pipeline and Gas Injection Plant
In alignment with the reservoir maintenance policy and with the goal of maximizing oil recovery from the Kupal Oil Field in southwest Iran, the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) plans to undertake the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of the Kupal Gas Injection Project. This project aims to inject 300 MMSCFD of gas into the Asmary layer of the Kupal oil field at a pressure of 270 barg.
The injection gas will be sourced from the Shahid Mohammadi compressor station and transported via a feed transmission pipeline to the Kupal Gas Injection Compressor Station, with a delivered pressure of 54 barg.
Currently, there is one compressor station with a capacity to handle only 150 MMSCFD, delivered at the endpoint of the gas pipeline. To address this limitation, it is necessary to design an additional gas compressor station capable of boosting the remaining 150 MMSCFD of gas at the endpoint of the feed pipeline.
