Project overview

Petroleum Engineering Development Company, a subsidiary of Iranian Ministry of Petroleum, has awarded the West Karoun Area NGL 3200 project under an EPCF contract to SADAF company.

The purpose of constructing this plant is to receive 500 MMSCFD sour gas from West Karoun oil field (Darquain, Yadavaran, Jofeir, Bande Karkhe, South Azadegan and North Azadegan) and processing and production of below products: C2+ NGL cuts Lean Gas Sulfur TR has been awarded the engineering services for unit 760 (Cooling System) in order to provide 550 m³/h of cooling water to unit 600.

The refrigerant is used for chilling of cooling water and to provide chilling duty to following users: AGEU Acid Gas Chiller (E-600-105) – 0.485 MW × 1.1 AGEU Acid Gas Chiller (E-600-205) – 0.485 MW × 1.1 AGEU Lean Amine Chiller (E-600-010) – 3.333 MW × 1.1 Quench Water Chiller (E-600-003) – 1.475 MW × 1.1 The cooling system utilizing screw compressors shall be designed for total design heat load of 5.778 × 1.1 MW with turn down ratio of 20% of normal capacity.
