ISFAHAN REFINERY

National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company (NIOEC) defined Isfahan Refinery Upgrading Project in order to pursue de-bottlenecking and upgrading the Isfahan Refinery. The final goals of the project are to reduce/minimize fuel oil, increase gasoline production, and upgrade the REFINERY products to the level of International Standards by installation of new units and de-bottlenecking/revamping of the existing units.
In this regard, the overall project has been divided into 5 separate sub-projects and contracts as follows:

  • Contract A: RHU, RFCC, and PRU units;
  • Contract B: All the upgrading and revamping works inside existing refinery fence;
  • Contract C: Interconnecting piping and networks, flare, and utilities;
  • Contract D: Diesel Hydrotreating Units, SRU, TGTU, Amin treating, sour water stripping, Gasoline Hydrotreating, and LPG Merox;
  • Contract E: HPU and PSA units

Contract C, which has been awarded to Tehran Raymand Consulting Engineers, takes responsibility mainly for supplying and distributing the required utilities for the OSBL process units, flare system design and gathering networks, and interconnection process and utility piping. This will involve Engineering departments in the following activities:

  • A. Basic and detail process design of the newly added units for which the basic design had not been performed by the basic designer. This includes the new Nitrogen Generation Package (unit 81)
  • B. Endorsement , development and detailed design and Procurement Engineering Services of utility units as follows:
    • Unit 35: Flare System
    • Unit 41: Steam & Power Generation
    • Unit 42: Water System
    • Unit 43: Fuel System
    • Unit 44: Plant & Instrument Air System
    • Unit 45: Interconnecting & N2 Distribution
    • Unit 46: Waste Water Treatment
    • Unit 50: Tankage
    • Unit 80 – Nitrogen
  • C. Interface Management
  • D. Filed Engineering Services
