Project Description
Gas Sweetening Pilot Plant
The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) aims to significantly contribute to the development of the Iranian oil and gas industry by addressing operational challenges. In pursuit of this goal, NIGC’s Research, Development, and Technology Department has initiated the development of gas processing technologies, particularly focusing on the gas sweetening process.
Key Participants
- NIGC: National Iranian Gas Company, spearheading the initiative.
- RIPI: Research Institute of Petroleum Industry, known for providing engineering solutions through research and development and advanced computerized engineering technology.
- Tehran Raymand Consulting Engineers: Invited to review process technology efforts and engineering concepts to ensure the project’s success.
Project Objective
The primary objective is to prepare the FEED package and EPC tender document for a gas sweetening pilot plant. This plant will be designed and installed in the South Pars Gas Field, located in the southwest of Iran.
Project Scope
Research and Development:
- Collaboration between NIGC and RIPI to leverage research and advanced technology in developing gas processing solutions.
FEED Package Preparation:
- Developing a comprehensive Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) package for the gas sweetening pilot plant.
EPC Tender Document:
- Preparing the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) tender document to facilitate the construction of the pilot plant.
Technology Review and Engineering Concepts:
- Tehran Raymand Consulting Engineers will review the relevant process technology efforts and engineering concepts to ensure the project’s successful execution.
