National Gas Refinery (Halegan and Sefid Baghoun Gas Field Development)
The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) has planned the complete design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of wellheads, gathering systems, and gas refinery plants for the Halegan & Sefid Baghoon gas fields.
Project Scope:
- Establish facilities to produce 20,000 MMSCMD of gas from 12 production wells.
- Export the produced gas to the IGAT-4 pipeline.
- Utilize Iranian companies’ knowledge and expertise for designing, procuring, and constructing the gas plant.
Consultant: Tehran Raymand has been selected for the pre-conceptual and feasibility study of this project.
Facilities of the National Gas Refinery
1. Well Head Facilities
- Initial processing and control at the wellheads.
2. Flow Lines
- 12 flow lines to transport gas from the wells to the processing facilities.
3. Manifolds
- 3 manifolds to combine the flow from multiple wells.
4. Reception Facilities
- Facilities for receiving gas from the wellheads and manifolds.
5. Gas Treatment (RIPI License)
- Processing to remove impurities and prepare gas for further processing.
6. Dehydration and Dew Point Control
- Removing moisture and controlling the dew point of the gas.
7. MEG Injection and Regeneration
- Injecting Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) to prevent hydrate formation and regenerating used MEG.
8. Propane Refrigeration
- Cooling systems using propane as the refrigerant.
9. Condensate Stabilization and Off Gas Compression
- Stabilizing condensate and compressing off gases for further use or disposal.
10. Sour Water Stripper
- Treating sour water to remove contaminants.
11. Sulfur Recovery Unit (RIPI License)
- Recovering sulfur from the gas stream.
12. Condensate Storage and Transfer
- Storing and transferring stabilized condensate.
13. Utilities
- Supporting infrastructure including power, water, and other utilities.
14. Gas Export Pipeline
- Pipeline for exporting processed gas to the IGAT-4 pipeline.
15. Condensate Export Pipeline
- Pipeline for exporting stabilized condensate.
