Petroleum Engineering Development Company a subsidiary of Iranian Ministry of Petroleum has awarded the West Karoun Area NGL 3200 project under an EPCF contract to SADAF company. The purpose of constructing this plant is to receive 500 MMSCFD sour gas from West Karoun oil field (Darquain, Yadavaran, Jofeir, Bande Karkhe, South Azadegan and North Azadegan) and processing and production of below products:

• C2+ NGL cuts
• Lean Gas
• Sulfur

The EP contracts of Gas Sweetening (Unit 200) and Sulfur Recovery (Unit 600) Units has been awarded to Tehran Raymand Consulting Engineers. The Gas Sweetening Unit is designed to reduce the hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide content from the inlet sour feed gas to NGL recovery unit. There are two identical Gas Sweetening Units in two separate gas flow sections. The Sulfur Recovery Unit is designed to produce liquid sulfur from the acid gas of Gas Sweetening Unit. The liquid Sulfur is then solidified in the sulfur solidification package. Off gas is burned in incinerator package with environmental limitation consideration.

Development and construction of gas transportation facilities is necessary to deliver of 1 BSCFD of Iranian natural gas to Oman. Gas transportation facilities consist of Compressor Station and Metering Station at Kuh-Mobarak in Iran and approximately 200 km Offshore Pipeline from Kuh-Mobarak to Sohar receiving facilities in Oman. Tehran Raymand has been selected to perform the conceptual study, basic engineering and FEED for onshore facilities namely Compressor and Metering Stations. The Compressor & Metering Stations consist of Turbo-Compressors and required Utilities, Mechanical Equipment & Piping , Electrical Systems , Instrument and Control Systems, Battery Limit Pig Traps and all other facilities, Buildings and operation area all surrounded by a perimeter fence. The unit is assumed stand alone and a Power Generation Unit will supply the required Electrical Power.

TR has been awarded the engineering services for unit 760 (Cooling System) in order to provide 550 m3/h of cooling water to unit 600. The refrigerant is used for chilling of cooling water and to provide chilling duty to following users.
